"I got a new job with ACS Health Management Solutions after only ONE interview! My new title is Sr .NET Developer. In the interview, I faced 5 developers who grilled me with questions but I answered them correctly and they made the offer soon after. I had two other offers on the table, as well! Please know that my training at SetFocus allowed me these job opportunities, as well as the last job. I’m working with .NET 3.0 WCSF and AJAX and they love staying on the bleeding edge of technology (Visual Studio Team, WCSF, WCF, AJAX, and SQL2005) and I’m happy here. "My situation isn't likely that of the typical student, but it is reflective of the character and genuine concern behind the staff at SetFocus. SetFocus has been there and willing to work with me through personal circumstances and difficulties. My admissions rep is always there for questions, always checking in to make sure all is well. When you need her, she's there and will direct you to the right person when she doesn't have the answer. She's the kind of person you wish you could stick in your pocket and carry around to organize your life. Her genuine care is highly respectable.
The 3 instructors I had were great. Very easy to understand, and open when questions are asked. Each are very personable and share from there own life experiences as developers. This gives you greater insight in how to develop and has opened my eyes towards thinking about development tasks in ways you can't get from a traditional book.
However, the selling point for me is the reputation that SetFocus carries.
It's almost like the MIT of technical trade schools. Very well respected, numerous partner companies, job placement for those who are interested, or if not, referrals given backed by their reputation. As more and more companies look to hire developers, they look for those who have completed a structured course like that which SetFocus offers. Their large base of partnerships is reflective of their respected reputation in the work force.
I highly recommend SetFocus for anyone interested in .Net development.
