"I got a job with a company call Incapital, a bond specialty company located on the 37th floor of a building across the street from the Sears tower. (I've got a great view of the city.)
The immediate project will be almost an exact continuation of what we studied in the C#/.NET Master's Program. The company wants to migrate from a two-tiered system (User Interface to database) in a language called Cold Fusion, to a four-tiered system based on C#/.NET 2.0. The technical interview turned out to be practically a review of the course materials. They were also interested in my (partial) knowledge of financial engineering, since they have occasional need of such calculations and don't have anyone on the staff yet who can do it.
The position will start out as a three-month contract, presumably changing to a permanent salary after that. The pay is just fabulous, almost twice what I had been expecting.

"Class is going great! Overall, I am VERY IMPRESSED with the calibre of the curriculum. I have learned a TREMENDOUS amount and we are only 20% through! I can only imagine the skills that I will be armed with when I complete the program. I only wish that I was nearer the end so that I could gain employment now! My goal from the beginning has been to absorb as much as possible, not just to pass exams and the course, but so that I can perform at a high level when I re-enter the workforce. I feel that I am well on the way to achieving that goal.
Everyone at SetFocus has been very cooperative and professional. I have been impressed with the entire program and I am SO happy that I decided to enroll!

The program as a whole met and exceeded my expectations. The information we were given was a very broad spectrum of SQL Server and they covered the full life cycle of SQL Server which was phenomenal. "I got my DREAM JOB! They use bleeding edge technology in the group and all the developers are running the Vista beta for their normal environment. They have converted just about everything to .NET 2.0 and will be installing Sharepoint Server 2007 as soon as it is available.
It was beginning to look bleak with my unemployment insurance running out at the end of the month. I start on the 18th and can’t wait to dive into this new job. Hey, I made your 13 week metric, I got it in 10!
