SetFocus Presents Second Installment of Tech Breakfast Series
SetFocus Teams Up with Susan Wisowaty for another Series of TechBreakfast
Seminars
December 22, 2006 Parsippany, NJ – SetFocus, a Microsoft Gold
Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), has teamed up with Microsoft
Community Champion, Susan Wisowaty, to present a TechBreakfast Series focused
on Microsoft 2005 SQL Server Reporting Services. Since 2004, SetFocus and
Microsoft have been partnering to bring developers early morning technical
breakfast seminars for individuals seeking to gain business-focused, .NET
related content. Through the SetFocus TechBreakfast Series, organizations large
and small have been able to join together to gain knowledge that will take
business to the next level of productivity.
As a leader in .NET training for programmers, SetFocus has been a long-time
partner of Microsoft: training programmers in Microsoft Official Curriculum,
sponsoring the company’s quarterly MSDN events, and collaborating directly with
Microsoft employees, such as Susan Wisowaty, to present informative seminars to
the programming community. After last year’s tremendously successful series
based on topics such as Web Services 2.0, InfoPath, and .NET in Action,
SetFocus is thrilled to present the 2006/2007 series on Reporting Services.
Part I of the four-part series took place on November 15, 2006 and was
well-attended, resulting in standing-room-only. This first part was an
introduction, history, and overview of Reporting Services’ capabilities and
identified opportunities for incorporating it into the business environment.
The next installment of the series, which will focus on Report Design, is
scheduled to take place on January 17, 2007. This presentation will explain the
fundamentals of design and how to use simple design tools. The Report Wizard
will be explored, as well as report items and layout. The discussion will cover
grouping, lists, matrix reports, and defining drill-through reports. Susan will
conclude her presentation with a look at how to define queries, datasets, and
parameters to filter data.
SetFocus is known for hosting and sponsoring a variety of
successful presentations and events. As the host of the Northern NJ .NET User
Group, as well as the NJ SQL Server User Group, the company has already reached
out to many programmers and developers in the Tri-State area. There are also
future plans for SetFocus to hold a technical conference and celebration for
the company’s ten year anniversary in May of 2007.
