SetFocus Launches New SQL Server Master’s Program

New Track Kicks Off for SetFocus Master’s Program

November 9, 2006 Parsippany, NJ – SetFocus, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), kicked off a brand new training program this month for programmers and developers interested in Microsoft SQL Server. The Master’s Program, which has been SetFocus’ primary business for the past nine years, is an intensive, in-depth approach to training individuals in software development. The training combines technical knowledge with the services of a proven career development strategy. In the past, the Master’s Program was offered solely for .NET development; however, November marks SetFocus’ launch of the first session for training in SQL Server 2005.

On November 6, this new track kicked off its first day at SetFocus’ Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. Each participant in the SQL Server Master’s Program is dedicating 13 weeks, full-time, to their training experience. Two of the enrollees are participating in the training program via The GRID®, SetFocus’ unique tool for remote training. The GRID® is an innovative and revolutionary on-line training solution that allows live, two-way interaction between remote participants and in-class instructors/students.

The decision to create a separate track for a SQL Server 2005 Master’s Program was the result of careful analysis of market demand. Mike Landau, CEO and President of SetFocus, comments: “SetFocus closely monitors the marketplace by listening to more than 100 companies that have hired SetFocus Master’s Program graduates. They have told us that there is a strong demand for and short supply of SQL Server 2005 experts and have urged us to create a SQL Server 2005 track. Over the last year, we have studied the needs of the marketplace and developed an outstanding 13 week, full-time curriculum which addresses a wide range of features such as Integration, Analysis, Reporting, Notification, and Replication Services. Our experience leads us to believe that we should be able to match our history of placing over 95% of eligible graduates within 13 weeks of program completion.”

SetFocus has established a reputation for producing highly skilled and technically capable software developers. Companies, such as Microsoft, Infragistics, and Avanade, work with SetFocus’ Career Development Department to pair each quarter’s graduates with the right corporations. Hopes are high that this new SQL Server Master’s Program will produce equally successful results.
