SetFocus Goes “Green” With The GRID^®

SetFocus cuts emissions and welcomes a new wave of virtual talent

August 30, 2007 Parsippany, NJ – SetFocus, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), is doing its part in reducing the release of harmful emissions into the atmosphere and raising awareness about the issues that surround energy usage today, by providing online training via The GRID®.

The GRID® is a seamless, remote attendance, live, instructor-led training solution, delivered via Polycom video conferencing hardware that is setting a new standard for learning. Through The GRID®, training can be consumed all over the nation without using energy for travel. All of SetFocus’ technical training courses are offered on The GRID® and with each session growing, eventually there will be more students accessing courses remotely then actually live in the classroom. To date, The Grid® has saved over 342,000 pounds of hydrocarbons from being released into the atmosphere. Current forecasts point to approximately 65,000 pounds of hydrocarbons being saved per quarter with more usage of The GRID® in 2008 alone. In total, that is 260,000 pounds of hydrocarbons in one year.
