SetFocus Launches Technical Article Series
Kevin Goff Kicks Off First Two Installments of Technical Articles for
SetFocus
March 1, 2007 – Parsippany, NJ – SetFocus, a Microsoft Gold
Certified Partner for Learning Solutions, announced this month the launch of a
new area of their website. Starting on February 1, and on the first of every
month, new articles will be posted on the “Knowledge
Base” section of the SetFocus website. With this new section, visitors
can access the latest advice, opinions, tips, and information on the most
up-to-date and relevant technical news in the programming industry.
To kick-off the series, SetFocus has partnered with Kevin S. Goff, a Microsoft
MVP and founder/principal consultant for Common Ground Solutions, to write the
first set of articles based on new features in SQL Server 2005. His series is
titled, “Take
Five with SQL 2005.” The objective of this 10-part series is to provide
software developers with quick information and meaningful examples that
demonstrate new capabilities in SQL 2005. Over the course of 2007, Kevin will
cover such topics as new XML capabilities (the topic of this month’s article),
new T-SQL 2005 language features, writing procedures and functions in
.NET CLR, Reporting Services, ADO.NET, and much more. These articles will
provide code samples that developers will find useful and can use to rework
into their own applications. Kevin is aiming to provide practical information
to those who don’t necessarily have time to thoroughly research such material
through in-depth self-study.
SetFocus strives to be a front-runner in the delivery of knowledge for software
developers in the industry. As such a leader, the SetFocus team is using this
new outlet of information as a way of providing additional support and giving
back to the programming community. By continually offering pertinent learning
tools and expertise to individuals and corporations alike, SetFocus looks
forward to increasingly building its network of peers, while maintaining
relations with its already existing partners.
