Parsippany NJ- (June 3, 2002) SetFocus waives fee for hiring 'available
graduates'.
SetFocus, a Technology Training Center, specializing in the education
of developers in the areas of .NET and Java, has announced that they
will be waiving the fees it historically charged its clients on 'fresh
graduates' from their Master's Program. Originally, SetFocus had been
delivering training to individuals at no cost to them and placing their
graduates as consultants with their clients for an hourly rate. With a
transition to a fee based training model, students now pay for their
instruction. Given this, SetFocus has made the executive decision,
effective June 1st, for all future business associated with "new
available graduates" to waive any fees they would normally charge.
President and CEO Mike Landau states, "Our new placement structure
allows us more flexibility, when trying to connect 'fresh graduates'
from our program with companies that need highly skilled individuals in
a tight market. In addition, we have been finding that with our new
structure more and more clients are now coming to us to fill their
programmer needs rather than going to the job boards on the web."
SetFocus' specialized selection process includes on-line assessments
through Brainbench and intensive technical interviews with their
trainers / developers to assure they possess the abilities to complete
the 13 weeks of knowledge transfer. This process ensures high quality
individuals who are always able to add value to an organization from day
one. SetFocus receives from 1500-2000 applications to the program each
quarter and selects no more than 20 individuals per track.
The training at SetFocus challenges all. Both the .NET and Java
curriculums are designed to challenge every student. Intense lectures
combined with in depth lab exercises focus on n-tier applications with
special emphasis on web development.
Interviews are now being scheduled for our newest group of 'fresh graduates',
who will be available to start work
on July 1. In addition, we have graduates seeking employment
immediately. To see a list of available graduates go to
