Parsippany NJ- (June 14, 2002) SetFocus announces VB.NET
MCT Master's Program
SetFocus, a Technology Training Center, specializing in the education of
developers in VB.NET and JAVA, has just announced a new track in addition to
their two current tracks. Seeing the need for .NET instructors in the
marketplace, SetFocus has developed a track that will train potential
instructors in the VB.NET curriculum and assist these people in achieving their
MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) certification. Microsoft's .NET is
revolutionizing the IT development arena. As more and more businesses embrace
this technology, the demand for more developers to be trained in .NET grows
tremendously. To help close this skills gap, SetFocus has created the .NET MCT
track
Mike Landau, President & CEO, says, "The battle for hearts and minds of
developers has begun, with Java and its constituents on the one side and
Microsoft and .NET on the other. Bringing developers up to speed in .NET,
through various forms of knowledge transfer, is a critical element in
Microsoft's strategy. As a result, SetFocus has introduced the first VB.NET MCT
track in the country. We feel this will go a long way in filling the market
need for such trainers".
The focus of the new track will be on Microsoft .NET Framework using VB.NET.
This new version of the popular Visual Basic programming language combines
object-oriented features and implementation with full access to all .NET
platform features. The .NET/MCT student will receive additional training skills
and be given the opportunity to demonstrate his/her presentation skills in a
real world environment at SetFocus' facilities. MCTs are regarded as Microsoft
product and course experts who have the instructional skills and technical
qualifications to deliver quality training to Information Technology (IT)
professionals and developers. They play an important role in Microsoft's
training and certification process
The training at SetFocus challenges all, and is believed by many industry
experts to be the most in-depth, intense, integrated and comprehensive training
solution available in the marketplace today.
All Masters Program participants are required to pass an extensive technical
exam and interviews to assure they possess the abilities to complete the 13
weeks of knowledge transfer they are presented with. SetFocus receives from
1500-2000 applications to the program each quarter and selects no more than 20
individuals per track.
The .NET curriculum is designed to test every student, with intense lectures
combined with in depth lab exercises that focus on n-tier applications with
special emphasis on web development. The start date of the next session is July
1, 2002. SetFocus runs sessions on a quarterly basis. To find out more about
