Parsippany NJ-
(May 12, 2002) Setfocus celebrates five years
of successful training SetFocus, a Technology
Training Center, specializing in the education of developers,
is proud to announce the celebration of five years of training
the IT developer community. Originally, SetFocus had been
delivering technical training in VB6, Visual InterDev, and SQL
Server They now offer two 13 week full time tracks devoted
strictly to .NET and Java. The transition from the VB6
training to .NET was a natural progression for the New Jersey
based CTEC (Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center)
following Microsoft's transition to the .NET environment. The
Java training was based on the demands of the training
marketplace and is now in its sixth quarter of training.
Today they offer one of the most intense, in depth,
and integrated training offerings in the country, making
Setfocus unique in the IT education field. Setfocus couples
this three month training program with a placement assistance
program that brings additional development experience to the
graduates as well. SetFocus' placement assistance program is a
no-fee service to its clients. This is total win-win
proposition. Both SetFocus graduates and client partners
benefit significantly from this program and it emphasizes
their strong commitment to quality.
Mike Landau,
President & CEO, says "From the beginning, SetFocus set
out to be a source of first class state of the art developer
training. Over the last 5 years, we have had over 25,000
people apply to the 'Masters Program' and have accepted and
trained more than 300. We are proud to see our graduates
throughout the country as senior developers, project leaders,
CIOs, and CTOs. "
The training at Setfocus challenges
all. Masters Program participants are required to pass an
extensive technical exam and interviews to assure they possess
the abilities to complete the 13 weeks of knowledge transfer
they are presented with. SetFocus receives from 1500-2000
applications to the program each quarter and selects no more
than 20 individuals per track.
Both the Java and .NET
curriculums are designed to challenge every student. Intense
lectures combined with in depth lab exercises focus on n-tier
applications with special emphasis on web development. The
start date of the next session is July 1, 2002. SetFocus runs
sessions on a quarterly basis. To find out more about the Masters Program
