- Developed solutions for diverse programming scenarios in VB.NET, employing object–oriented programming concepts such as; encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
- Used VB.NET and ADO.NET to define and implement secure middle-tier components using both connected and disconnected environment strategies. Components were consumed by web applications and windows applications utilizing SQL Server and stored procedures to perform logical business transactions.

Lake County Senior Application Developer 2002 - 2003
- Significantly enhanced and supported the Sheriff’s department personnel information application, using Visual Basic 6.0. Saved the benefits staff 40 man hours a week. Enhancements included:

- Track annual merit increase dates and reminders
- Developed an application, using Microsoft Access 2000, to allow Sheriff’s deputies to enter commonly used forms remotely on a laptop in the squad car. Saved approximately a hundred man-hours a week.
- Automated the manual process of submitting and completing system request forms involving security access. Analyzed, designed and developed the application and database tables, indexes and stored procedures, using Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server. Process reduced turnaround time by 50%.
- As part of a team, analyzed the feasibility of the integrated justice project to streamline flow of information between law enforcement agencies and the courts system.
Allegiance Project Leader 1998 - 2001
- Modified and enhanced inventory tracking software sold to hospitals. Entirely rewrote application in Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access, adding numerous processing and user interface enhancements while making application Y2K compliant.
