James Arendt hails from the sunny Gulf Coast of Florida. He is a senior
instructor with SetFocus, LLC. Over the last six years, James has trained
hundreds of students attending SetFocus's Master's Program and corporate
training engagements. He has delivered training across the full spectrum of
.NET technologies with an emphasis on distributed technologies. Aside from his
interests in distributed technologies, he has a passion for the very languages
that allow developers to craft applications. In addition, he is a graduate of
the SetFocus Master's Program and he has spoken at developer events hosted by
SetFocus and Microsoft. James also assists SetFocus in the pioneering of their
vision for online training: The GRID. |

Don Demsak (aka DonXML) is a Microsoft MVP for XML and an independent .Net
Solutions Architect consultant, who specializes in architecting and programming
multi-tier applications using Microsoft’s .Net framework. He is an evangelist
that is known for preaching the benefits of XML, Web Services Contract First,
and the .Net framework on various discussion groups across the web and on his
blog. He also enjoys the intellectual comradery of working with developers and
architects from around the world. Don is one of the founders of the Mvp.Xml
open source project (www.mvpxml.org), which
is helping to enhance the XML capabilities in the .Net framework, which
includes the XPathmania project, which adds XPath testing support to the XML
Editor in Visual Studio 2005. |

and version control environment. In this session, I'll demonstrate some of the
core functionality of Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals,
and will provide many online resources that you can study to see how industry
professionals are using this tremendous product. |

and principal consultant of Common
Ground Solutions, a consulting group that provides custom Web and
client-server solutions in .NET, VFP, SQL Server, and Crystal Reports. Kevin is
the author of Pro VS 2005 Reporting using SQL Server and Crystal Reports,
published by Apress. He is a regular columnist for
CoDe Magazine, and also maintains a
companion blog for his column. Kevin is also the author of the
Take Five with SQL Server 2005 series by SetFocus. His also offers
custom .NET and SQL Server training, and participates in MSDN community events.

applications are created. With this version of the Framework come four major
components: Windows Presentation Foundation; Windows Communication Foundation;
Windows Workflow Foundation; and Windows CardSpace. What these components are,
how they are used, and what support for them is available in Visual Studio 2005
will be the focus of this presentation. |

process of learning how to use Microsoft’s .NET programming model and Framework
